ACCOMODATION
Peponi Hotel
This hotel embraces the Swahili culture of Lamu, which, centuries ago, spread down the coast from the north. Peponi is still run by the Korschen family who opened the hotel in 1967, and it has retained much of the character and charm that it had then.
Kiwayu Safari Village
A natural, simple but luxurious and secluded retreat. The dining room, lounge and bar are built with palm-thatched roofs and woven matted floors with bright, colourful scatter cushions on the seats. Kiwayu is nestled between the Kiunga Marine National Reserve, to the east and the Dodori and Boni Game Reserves to the west.
Manda Bay
Manda Bay is situated beside miles of soft sand beach, with fascinating creeks and small islets to explore. This resort is located on an unspoilt, idyllic island found in the romantic Lamu archipelago. A perfect place for relaxation and revitalisation.
The Majlis
A small luxury beach hotel only accessible by boat. Fitting seamlessly into its surroundings, The Majlis offers a unique experience that combines comfort, luxury and intimacy.
Kipungani Explorer
Located on the ancient Arabian island paradise of Lamu, Kipungani is one of Africa's most remote, relaxing and richly romantic coastal hideaways.
Kijani House
A small, exclusive and charming hotel set in large tropical gardens.
