SAMBURU

Samburu National Reserve: 325km north of Nairobi lies a dramatic and rugged landscape in the home of the colourful Samburu people. Game includes species rarely seen elsewhere such as Grevy's zebras, reticulated giraffes and Somali ostriches.

Shaba National Reserve: Close to Samburu, Shaba has reserved its place in the history of conservation as the area where Joy Adamson experimented with the release of hand-reared leopards.

Meru National Park: Meru is just seven miles from the equator and to the north east of Nairobi. Meru is famous for animals such as elephants, white rhinos, zebras, giraffes, kudus and predators such as lions, leopards and cheetahs.
